Along the way, you’ll stop to visit the sacred Manakamana Temple, perched atop a hill and accessible by a scenic cable car ride.From Pokhara, you’ll take a short flight to Jomsom before driving to the sacred Muktinath Temple, a place of pilgrimage revered by Hindus and Buddhists alike. Returning to Pokhara, you’ll explore the serene Bindyabasini Temple before embarking on a scenic drive to the charming hilltop village of Bandipur.As your pilgrimage nears its conclusion, you’ll journey back to Kathmandu. Full Itinerary
Welcome to the city of temples. Kathmandu is filled with temples and religious shrines in every corner which gives you an idea, how religious Nepali people are. After claiming your luggage look for the signage of Blissful Nepal with your name on it just outside the arrival hall. Our representative will escort you to the hotel and help you in checking-in. You will be briefed about the whole program with important safety briefing as well. In the evening we will have a complimentary welcome dinner in a nice cozy Nepali restaurant enjoying the cultural show.
On the second day of our journey, we'll begin our sightseeing by visiting the Pashupatinath Temple, the second holiest temple in Asia. Dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Pashupatinath, the temple holds great significance. Legend has it that the temple stands on the spot where a piece of Shiva's broken horn was buried during a battle with Vishnu. The temple sits beside the Bagmati River, considered sacred for its spiritual cleansing properties. Along the riverbank, you'll witness the cremation area, offering a unique and solemn experience.Next, we'll head to Budhanilkantha, located just an hour's drive from Pashupatinath. Here, you'll find a holy temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The highlight of Budhanilkantha is a magnificent five-meter-tall statue of Vishnu reclining on a single block of basalt, resting above a mythical serpent, Sheesha. This statue holds immense religious significance and is a major attraction for devotees.Afterwards, we'll drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square, often referred to as the City of Temples. The Kathmandu Valley boasts numerous temples and idols of gods and goddesses, each corner adorned with religious symbols. Inside the ancient courtyard of Kathmandu Durbar Square, you'll encounter a rich display of Nepali religious fervor. Temples such as Taleju Temple, Jagganath Temple, Kasthamandap, Kotillengeshwara Mahadev, and Mahendraswara stand as testament to the city's cultural and religious heritage.
After breakfast, start your day early and make your way to Chandragiri Hills. Enjoy a picturesque cable car ride up to Chandragiri Temple, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Kathmandu Valley. Explore the temple grounds, marvel at the architecture, and soak in the serene surroundings while gazing at the majestic Himalayas. Take your time to appreciate the beauty before descending back to the base station.Following your visit to Chandragiri Temple, head to Swoyambhunath. This sacred Buddhist site, also known as the Monkey Temple, offers stunning views of Kathmandu and its surroundings. Climb the steps to reach the stupa, adorned with colorful prayer flags, and explore the surrounding shrines and temples. Immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance and soak in the rich cultural heritage of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Today, we'll embark on an 8-hour drive to Pokhara, a charming destination known for its serene lakes and stunning mountain views. As we journey along the winding Prithvi Highway, we'll make a stop at Manakamana Temple, devoted to Goddess Bhagwati. The temple is renowned for granting the wishes and prayers of devotees, adding a touch of myth and mystique to our visit. To reach the temple perched atop a hill, we'll enjoy a thrilling ride on a cable car.Upon arrival in Pokhara, we'll indulge in a tranquil boating experience on Fewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal. Our destination within the lake will be a temple situated in its midst, dedicated to Goddess Durga. Various legends surround this temple, with some believing it was constructed after the goddess appeared in a dream to the King of Kaski, while others attribute its existence to the kindness of a sole survivor of a village flood.
We'll start early by driving to Pokhara airport for a flight to Jomsom, a quick 25-minute journey. From Jomsom, we'll continue our expedition with a scenic drive to Muktinath Temple in a private Jeep.Muktinath Temple holds immense significance as one of the holiest Hindu temples globally, showcasing the intertwined nature of Buddhism and Hinduism. Despite being dedicated to Hindu God Vishnu, the temple rituals are performed by Buddhist monks, and the temple itself is maintained by nuns. Situated at an altitude of 3800m, Muktinath is also considered one of the highest temples in the world.As one of the Shaktipeethas of Hindus, visiting Muktinath is believed to cleanse devotees of their sins. After our exploration of the temple, we'll journey back to Jomsom for an overnight stay.
After Breakfast, we'll start early by flying back to Pokhara in the morning. Upon arrival, we'll visit the Bindyabasini Temple, which holds a significant mythological importance. Legend has it that the deity was brought from Bindyanchal, India to Pokhara by King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the founder of modern Nepal, before the country's unification.After our sightseeing at Bindyabasini Temple, we'll embark on a scenic drive to Bandipur. This quaint village, nestled in the hills of Tanahun, once served as a bustling trade center for salt from Tibet and spices from India. Bandipur offers breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesha, and Boudha Himal. In addition to its stunning vistas, Bandipur is renowned for its beautifully preserved heritage market, showcasing the rich cultural heritage preserved by the locals.
After breakfast, we'll depart Bandipur and drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we'll head straight to our hotel for check-in and relaxation. Later in the evening, we'll come together for a complimentary farewell dinner at a fine restaurant, celebrating the memories created during our journey through Heavenly Nepal.
3 hours prior to your scheduled flight, our representative will escort you to the Tribhuvan International Airport. We hope to meet you again on your next adventure.
